From the mean (yet ever so sunny) streets of the South East of England, Get Inuit play dirty and cheerful indie guitar pop – and they play it so well it will most likely melt your face. Spending their early days on this happy ol’ earth fine-tuning their fuzzed-out live show in support of such heavyweights as Slaves, PUP and DZ Deathrays – developing a frenetic live show fused with dramatically powerful pop sensibilities that they hold OH so dear.
Coming to the attention of Alcopop! when Huw Stephens himself emailed us to suggest we sign them (you don’t miss an opportunity like that), we quickly set about dropping a glorious debut EP 001 on eskimo frost vinyl (not many of those left), which got a whole wave of people chatting about the guys with all sorts of fervour. Justified fervor at that – as the tracks started dropping all over radio 1, picking up artists of the year to watch on Radio X and loads of other stuff that could fill the website 10 times over.
Since then, EP 2 (Luge Lessons) dropped alongside a hatful of festival apparances and tours with the likes of Spring King, Clean Cut Kid and Vant. Next up it’s album time, and Get Inuit’s well-deserved into indie pop super stardom <3
