New My First Tooth single – on VHS!

So those distinguished kids of My First Tooth fame return…! HATCHAWALLAWALLA  - and it’s a big hitter. Taken from the forthcoming album ‘Love Makes Monsters’, their first offering from the new record is a free single “Past Broadcasts” out December 3rd, 2012… Yeah. Free. Digital. GET>IT>HERE>… Or…..

Because we’re all super cool kids. It’s coming out in physical form too and all available from the shop - and for a band who’ve released stuff on scarves, business cards and hand painted musical formats of all sorts – we really had to go some to find something new. So, obviously, we picked VHS. Killer.

Yup, it’s the first EVER Alcopop! VHS EP – featuring the wonderful video for Past Broadcasts (in which Joda is in hospital), Factory (in which an animated chap is ace) and a very special acoustic version of the A-side, performed by Ross – which will forever be exlusive to this tape.

Stock is so, so, so strictly limited… Get it now, if you like your prettily stickered, and lovingly copied VHS. And MFT of course

Meanwhile, you can catch them supporting lovely Tellison on the Contact! Contact! Tour here….

My First Tooth drop their first new album cut

Yeha, and hasn’t been a long time coming… But fear not good poppers, because as well as bopping from festival to festival and strutting around looking all handsome – My First Tooth have been hard at work in the studio. And here it is ayyyyye… The first cut from the brand new record, due in 2013.

Chances are, you may have heard this on Radio 1 where it was exclusively aired for the first time tonight.. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to download/ share/ pop over to a pressing plant and commit to a one-off vinyl to give to your mother for Christmas. They’re all good.

My First Tooth are touring again!

Waaaaaay. Fresh from their stripped-back jaunt around the country with indie-establishment members Athlete, delighting enraptured audiences from Glasgow to London Union Chapel and everywhere in between, the hotly tipped folk-tinged orchestral troubadors from Northampton (AKA known as Pop’s longest serving peaches), My First Tooth, today announce a headline tour in September.

Dates are as follows: Do come to some of them! All of them? Facebook event here, not to mention pretty little free to download song ‘Twilight Theatre’ after the dates. Should you have not purchased Territories (their wonderful debut album), do yourself a real big favour and buy, buy, buy or stream, stream, stream!

My First Tooth new video and Athlete tour support!

Isn’t it ironic that the more that happens the less time you have to write about it. I’ve always loved writing this PoP blog but it struck me the other day that so much has happened that I’ve just not updated all you massively handsome readers on! I guess that’s partly due to mixing all the content up between Facebook and Twitter and stuff, but dear reader – I digress.

I was here to tell you about the magnificent My First Tooth, who have been kicking it of late. Literally quicker to list the festivals they aren’t playing rather than the one’s they are – they have also been confirmed for 10 (count em’) support shows on the new Athlete tour, was well as filming this rather marvelous video with the epic Marc Bird – a man of many talents having previously managed Attika State.

So lower the lights, grab yourself a Hooch Lemon and enjoy this little beauty. It contains a swan, lovely tricks of the light and Gareth Stix… What more could you desire!
