Alcopop gets a little love from the blogosphere…

Ah – Alcopop absolutely dig being appreciated… And who wouldn’t? Which is why the internet is such a wonderful place these days. Freshly posted amid sending off vinyl orders, cutting together promos and generally bleeding Alcopop coloured blood, I thought I’d stick up a quick post to send some love.

Firstly to David Burns (I presume) and Tom (not the emo kid) of www.davidburns.org.uk, who infiltrated their 3rd compilation special with all sorts of tracks from Alcopop. My First Tooth, Sam Isaac, Dave House and Harry and the Potters – they played it all… And very grateful we are too. Showing love for BSM, Banquet Records and Moshi Moshi too – they’re a lovely bunch. Show 19…. Listen to it now!

And thank you too to The Devil has the Best Tuna. Other than their undeniable sentiments (have you had a Jesus prepared Tuna Butty – weak is being kind)… They have picked up on Cut the Blue Wire, and (it seems) bloody love ‘em, which proves they have phenomenal taste as well.

With their ultra-intense, pedal to the metal post hardcore sound poised somewhere between the raw power of At The Drive In, the nu metal brutality of Deftones and Papa Roach and the raw emotional intensity of the most visceral bands on the Dischord roster such as Fugazi and Nation of Ulysses, CTBW are a band with destiny in their blood.”

Papa Roach… Awesome!

Also – anyone with a keen ear to the airwaves recently will no doubt have heard a whole heap of Pavilion on their trusty wireless. That’s not only because they are to release about the best feel good hit of the summer, but also because the radio’s cool these days. Fact! Now off to watch an episode of Mysterious Cities of Gold ,drink, and make merry!

Here’s a picture of a cat kicking a dog – great!
