Now – although this post is far from an endorsement, or an expression of any real love for a brand I must confess I’ve never actually bought anything from, Alcopop hats are neverthelss suitably tipped to the uiversity outfitters Jack WIlls. You see, the popular retailer (they have one in Oxford doncha know) recently decided that they dug Alcopop enough to come a-calling with empty CD case in hand, to snaffle some of the best loved pop hits from the label.
4 or 5 Magicians, Family Machine, goFASTER>>, Lucy and the Caterpillar and several more were all seized upon by the brand, who are keen to be more of a lifestyle choice (I know this as they say so on their website) promoting hip young things – and streaming them into their shops across the country.
Unfortunatly this han’t meant that myself and Kev have been able to replace our tired old threads with fresh new ones at old uncie Jack’s expense, oh no (if you’re reading Jack’s relatives – please send some natty gear to Jack c/o Alcopop Records) – although it does mean that anyone who shops at Jack Wills is likely to have a nice Alcopop-related surprise next time they’re browsing through pants and jeans and things, which can only be good.
Oh – ad changing the subject totally, if anyone would like to see a summer summation of just some of what Alopop are getting up to this summer without perusing back through many pages of this blog, it’s all nicely summed up in a guest post on the BSM blog for you. Observe here…
