Dear Brighton – you coming out Friday babez? (Till 6am)

May the 17th be with you or something. This one is GOING> TO> BE> HUGGGGGE. There will be jager-bombs a-plenty, befuddled bouncers struggling to cope with a bunch of crowd-surfing champs (you) and a line up that isn’t too bad either :-)

Here’s a free download compilation to listen to them too if you like?: https://soundcloud.com/alcopop/sets/cheer-up-bradley-alcopop-vs

ALCOPOPALOOZA IV – with added SAM ISAAC

So the self-styled ‘Feel Good Event of the Summer’ is back, in stereo – at Brixton Windmill on the 7th July with a line-up of joy. Truly, after 3 years of trying the erstwhile Sam Isaac is BACK! For one show (perhaps ever) to serenade you for a final time. How cool is that….!

The full line up reads something like right out of my dreams – with Stagecoach, Lexi (JoFo), Stephen (Tellison), Jumping Ships, GFT, Katie Malco, Dexy and even the criminal inclusion of yours truly (Jack PoP) all on the bill with another couple TBC. Get your cheap tickets in advance for £6.66 and enjoy a FREE BBQ and beachball tickets on arrival (literally, physical tickets in the form of a big inflatable beachball to advance buyers only though). Yup – Brixton-on-Sea here we go! Buy from our shop just above with other nice things, or the cracking chaps at wegottickets

Oh and massive thanks to the awesome people at DIY for partnering with us on this, and super super Jess Marshall for creating this WONDERFUL poster. How nice!?!

Alcopop at the Great Escape (Friday May 11th)

We’re all going to the SEASIDE! To play the Dolphin Derby and watch some bands. We might even indulge in an ice cream or two, and we’d bloody love for you to come join us. So we’ve got together with our pals at BSM and 7 Bit Arcade to put on a little free show at the Royal Pavilion Tavern as part of the Alternative Escape on Friday 11th May!

If you were there last year (pictured), you’ll well remember that it was an understated tea party style affair, completely suitably for all the family – very polite, and not at all a debauched boozefest which ended with insane stage diving, chandaliers being ripped from the ceiling and yours truly being threatened with expulsion from the venue for ‘inciting chaos’. Put simply, it was bloody amazing – and you should TOTALLY come down this year too. We kick off at 1 in the afternoon, bands on till 2am (13 hours – yup!) with the 405 DJs till 6am. This could be the party of the Spring!

Check out the line up, remember it’s free and get there early. Last year it was one in one out from 5pm…
