The Spills are a 4-piece indie-rock band from Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

After releasing their debut album, Occam's Razor ("a completely joyous rock record" - Artrocker) and follow up EP, Spooky Roller Disco ("big, grinning, duelling guitars, effortless melodies and mega, yes, mega tunes" - Gold Flake Paint), on seminal Wakefield record label, Philophobia Music, 2015 saw The Spills sign to Alcopop! Records to release their second album, 'Collecting Dust'.

Following a lead single on the legendary Too Pure singles club, 'Collecting Dust' sparked a growth in the band's fan-base. The record built on the band's previous critical acclaim, with Louder Than War describing them as "masters of wonky, off-kilter hits" and "Wakefield's latest indie-punk heroes", whilst singles "A Film and a Frame", "Pepper's Ghost" and "Floyd" gained support from BBC 6 Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio.

The next year saw the band tour heavily around the UK, breaking their way into the festival circuit with slots at Bluedot, Y NOT, 2000 Trees and Tramlines, to name a few, before finishing 2016 with the release of their "All Spiller, No Filler" EP (described by Clash as "a four track blast of alt rock excellence".)

The Spills have shared stages with acts such as The Cribs, Cloud Nothings, Menace Beach, PAWS, and performed numerous dates with label best-buds Tellison and Johnny Foreigner. They have spent 2017 back in Wakefield working on new material.
